We would like to draw your attention to the 9th International Conference on Agents and Artificial Intelligence (ICAART 2017 - http://www.icaart.org/) whose submission deadline is scheduled for October 4, 2016. We hope you can participate in this conference by submitting a paper reflecting your current research in any of the following areas:
  • Agents
  • Artificial Intelligence

The conference will be sponsored by the Institute for Systems and Technologies of Information, Control and Communication (INSTICC) and held in cooperation with the European Society for Fuzzy Logic and Technology (EUSFLAT), International Fuzzy Systems Association (IFSA), European Association for Artifical Intelligence (EurAI), Associazione Italiana per l'Intelligenza Artificiale (AIXIA), Spanish Association of Artificial Intelligence (AEPIA), Associação Portuguesa de Reconhecimento de Padrões (APRP), Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI), IberoAmerican Society of Artificial Intelligence (Iberamia) and Portuguese Association for Artificial Intelligence (APPIA). INSTICC is Member of the Foundation for Intelligent Physical Agents (FIPA), Workflow Management Coalition (WfMC) and Object Management Group (OMG). Technically Co-sponsored by the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (IEEE CIS). Logistics Partner the Science and Technology Events (SCITEVENTS).

The purpose of the International Conference on Agents and Artificial Intelligence is to bring together researchers, engineers and practitioners interested in the theory and applications in the areas of Agents and Artificial Intelligence. Two simultaneous related tracks will be held, covering both applications and current research work. One track focuses on Agents, Multi-Agent Systems and Software Platforms, Distributed Problem Solving and Distributed AI in general. The other track focuses mainly on Artificial Intelligence, Knowledge Representation, Planning, Learning, Scheduling, Perception Reactive AI Systems, and Evolutionary Computing and other topics related to Intelligent Systems and Computational Intelligence.

We would like to highlight the presence of the following keynote speakers:
  • Vanessa Evers, University of Twente, Netherlands
  • João Leite, Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Portugal
  • Nuno Lau, Universidade de Aveiro, Portugal
  • Francesca Rossi, University of Padova, Italy

Submitted papers will be subject to a double-blind review process. All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings, under an ISBN reference, on paper and on CD-ROM support.
The proceedings will be submitted for indexation by Thomson Reuters Conference Proceedings Citation Index (ISI), INSPEC, DBLP, EI (Elsevier Engineering Village Index) and Scopus.
All papers presented at the conference venue will be available at the SCITEPRESS Digital Library (http://www.scitepress.org/DigitalLibrary/). SCITEPRESS is a member of CrossRef (http://www.crossref.org/).

Best paper awards will be distributed during the conference closing session. Please check the website for further information (http://www.icaart.org/BestPaperAward.aspx).

We also would like to highlight the possibility to submit to the following Special Sessions:

Workshops, Special sessions, Tutorials as well as Demonstrations dedicated to other technical/scientific topics are also envisaged: companies interested in presenting their products/methodologies or researchers interested in holding a tutorial are invited to contact the conference secretariat. Workshop chairs and Special Session chairs will benefit from logistics support and other types of support, including secretariat and financial support, to facilitate the development of a valid idea.

ICAART 2017 will be held in conjunction with ICPRAM 2017 (http://www.icpram.org/) and ICORES 2017 (http://www.icores.org/) in Porto, Portugal. Registration to ICAART will enable free attendance to any sessions of ICPRAM and ICORES conferences as a non-speaker.

Please check further details at the ICAART conference website (http://www.icaart.org/).
