In this webinar, we will introduce a new type of article to be integrated with IEEE Xplore, the immersive article. Based on a web framework, it will allow readers to directly engage with the content. JavaScript and WebGL components will enable you, to make your paper truly interactive. Ever thought about showing a simulation in your paper, letting readers test out various parameters themselves, or getting a hands-on view of the data? Immersive articles will make it possible!
The webinar introduces the immersive article template, shows how to set up your environment for writing and testing, and goes over some of the most popular tools for interactive web visualizations. While this technology enables us to create new types of content, it also requires us to adapt the way we write and share ideas to realize its full potential. Therefore, this webinar will provide an overview of best practices for writing interactive web components, as they are already common practice in digital journalism, human-computer interaction, information visualization, and many other fields. We hope this webinar will prepare you to produce your own immersive articles in no time.
